Blended Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel Course
(Inland & Great Lakes 52 hrs) (Near Coastal 56 hrs)

You enrolled in the online portion of the course. Over the next four to six weeks you work thought the online modules covering basic boating items such fire, engines, equipment, regulation, etc. Also develop a basic understanding of the Navigation Rules of the Road and Chart Plotting. These topic will be covered in detail during the classroom portion to help you develop the skill needed to safely navigation our waters.
Make sure, when you sign up for the Classroom session, you have enough time to complete the online portion. It must be done before you take the classroom portion.
You than attend one of the scheduled weekend classroom sessions to review the rules, fine tune your plotting skills, and complete the required modules. At the end of the class you are ready to take the four part NMC approved exam.
Inland and Great Lakes is a 52 hr course with 12 hours in the classroom.
Near Coastal Course is 56 hrs long however, only 16 hrs plus the exam are in a classroom.
You have the interaction with other students and instructor related to the two key items, Rules of the Road and Chart Plotting.
Students need to complete the online portion before the classroom session.
