CAPTAINS LICENSES TRAINING Thinking of getting a captains license? Not sure which license you need? Let Explorer’s Guide Maritime Training help you choose. If you’re just getting started and you plan to use your license on the ocean, you may want to apply for the OUPV Near Coastal license. If you’ve got more experience, or want to work on larger boats, you may decide to apply for your Master 100 Tons license. Maybe you already have a base license and want to add an Auxiliary Sailing or Boat Assistance Towing Endorsement. FUNDING Need help paying for your captains course tuition? There are many options available for both military and civilian students. Speak to a member ofour staff to see if you qualify for funding and how to apply. Military/Veterans maybe eligible for funding with Tuition Assistance, Montgomery GI Bill, Active Duty, Post 9/11GI or Selected Reserve and more.The first step is to talk to your ESO or Financial Aid contact where you are stationed. Next, apply online at: www.gibill.va.gov* These are important first steps in funding. PROCTORED EXAM SITES No need to go to the USCG Regional Exam Center for your proctored final OUPV or Master 100 tons license tet. Explorer’s Guide maintains a growing list of Proctored Exam Sites throughout the United States for our online cpatins license students. Can’t find one near you? Give us a call to see what’s new. Military students - you may be able to take your final OUPV or Master 100 tons license test where you are stationed, with your ESO or superior officer acting as proctor.
